Ramsgate
Very briefly the vessel starting from Ramsgate sails over the top of Russia via the NE passage and then sails over the top of Canada via the NW passage. The journey is to take one Summer and will finish in UK in October 2013.

The crew consists of 2 swedish ladies, one Russian Man or Woman (to the last port in Russia) and the captain/ expedition Leader who is English.

All the costs of the expedition are being bourne by the leader and crew who have expended all their savings to undertake this historic voyage. No English or Swede have sailed the NE and NW passages.

The vessel does not have a support team or any specific assistance. This is a British expedition with a number of clear objectives of a scientific, environmental, ecological, challenging and social nature. The crew and Leader will specialize in varous fields specific to their academic qualifications which include: Psychology, Mental Health, Nursing, Navigation, Physical Education and  Geography. Knowledge gained will be available to anyone.
